It seems like a lifetime ago that Jason Meuller started AE - it was really just a casual webzine to go along with the Advanced Athletic Nutrition online retail store. While Advanced Athletic nutrition didn’t take off, the magazine certainly did and went on to quickly eclipse its parent site. Jason didn’t waste time; he made AE the focus of his efforts. Certainly, the earliest incarnation of the magazine was a labor of love - entirely written and produced by Jason. However, the magazine was a giant burden for Jason to bear alone - after about 6 issues, I, Grendel, joined the staff full time - as, essentially, the only other regular writer.
